Judy Chernokovich- Clemens, RN, CRHT, SPM, RYT 200 will be our presenter. She devotes herself to others with appreciation, acceptance, and kindness and she walks each day with integrity.
She has been a nurse for over 46 years and currently works in hospice. Her most recent training and certification is as a Yoga Teacher with The Yoga Alliance. At the meeting, Judy will share with the group techniques for moderate and seated yoga positions where she adapts Yoga movements to meet the students’ needs.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT GROUP – APRIL 22, 2019

Our speaker is Elizabeth Bodien, author and all around multi-talented woman, who will be speaking about her recently published book,
Journeys with Fortune: a Tale of Other Lives. She has also written two books of poetry: Blood, Metal, Fiber, Rock and Oblique Music: A Book of Hours. and four poetry chapbooks.
She holds degrees in cultural anthropology, consciousness studies, religions, and poetry. She has worked as an instructor of English in Japan, an organic farmer in the mountains of Oregon, a childbirth instructor in West Africa, and as a professor of anthropology. After retiring from teaching at Northampton Community College, she devoted her time to writing. She has taught poetry workshops and given talks on poetry and poetics on radio and TV. Her poems, essays, and book reviews have appeared in Cimarron Review, Crannog, and Parabola, among many other publications in the USA, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and India. Now she is working on a collection of trance writings.
Elizabeth Bodien grew up in the “burned -over district of western New York and now lives near Hawk Mountain, Pennsylvania.
She is a delightful woman with many tales to tell of her life adventures. Please join us for an exciting and interesting evening.

JIN SHIN JYUTSU SELF HELP presented by Diane Marchese, LMT

Diane Marchese, owner of MFR Journey in Allentown, PA has specialized in Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy for over 19 years. In 2013, she started her journey wih Jin Shin Jyutsu. She especially loves and appreciates how well Jin Shin Jyutsu integrates with Myofascial Relaease and CranioSacral Therapy.
The foundation of Jin Shin Jyutsu are the 26 energy points called energy locks[SEL’s] located throughout the body. Touching and holding these energy locks[SEL’s] with our hands access the energy flow, which activates the self-healing process. Jin Shin teaches us how to energize, support and harmonize our total body.
During the group presentation, attendees will experience a variety of Jin Shin Jysutsu[JSJ} self help techniques. Diane will also provide wonderful self-help handouts to assist in the healing journey.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT GROUP – SEPTMEBER 24, 2018
ANIMAL COMMUNICATIONS—SO MUCH CHATTER presented by Nancy Heath, Animal Communicator
SEPTMEBER 24, 2018 7 to 9 PM COST: $5.00 per person
Nancy who is also a registered nurse, has been able to communicate with animals since she was a young girl. At that time, she kept her talent primarily a secret from others and did so into adulthood. She continued with her professional career and raising her family of four children. After becoming widowed suddenly in 2009, she found much comfort in spending time with her beloved animals and rediscovered the comfort and wisdom they shared. She moved to a small farm outside of Quakertown, PA with other family members where she especially enjoys her cats and horses as well as the other animals residing there.
Nancy enrolled in an animal communication course with Anita Curtis and was able to enhance her skills. She is passionate about reaching out to animals and their “persons” to solve problems through the use of her communiction skills.
Nancy will share with group attendees the following:
– what is animal communication?
– successes and challenges with animal communication
— communication with pets who have passed over
She will also briefly answer questions from attendees.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT GROUP, FEBRUARY 19, 2018
To bring all of us some much-needed respite and an opportunity to experience self-care during this dreary winter, we will have two speakers for our February Women’s Empowerment Group.
Michele Bairstow is the owner of MLB Natural Healing Spa in Green Lane, PA.
She will be demonstrating a non-invasive facelift technique, The A Lift. She purchased The A Lift Machine in 2016. It is FDA approved and uses a sonic Medical Nano/Micro current to reduce facial fine lines, wrinkles, fluid, eye bags, and dark circles. This current is applied to the face through circular massage movements which naturally increase the speed at which the skin produces its own connective tissue fibers, elastin, and collagen.
The 46 minute treatment is pain free and very relaxing. Immediate-radiant results will be noticed with the first phase. There are three phases: Lymphatic Drain, Lifting, and Cellular Regeneration. Recommended treatment frequency is one time weekly for six weeks followed by one time monthly. Recipients of The A Lift notice a glow and age reducing appearance to their skin.

Diane graduated from Lehigh Valley Arts Academy and received her facial reflexology training from the Lone Sorenson School. She has been a Reflexology practitioner for eighteen years. Diane will demonstrate foot and facial reflexology and also offer mini sessions.
Reflexology, foot massage, is a holistic healing modality. There are foot, face, and hand reflexology points that correspond to the organs, glands, nervous and circulatory systems of the body. Reflexology releases blocked energy and brings the body back into a state of balance and well-being. Join us for our September Women’s Empowerment Group where Rebecca Long Manoogian will present ZENTANGLE, EXPRESS YOUR MEDITATIVE SELF.
Rebbecca is one of internationally trained Zentangle instructors. She will share with us a simple, step by step method of drawing that is very meditative, relaxing and wildly creative. If you can write your name…you can Zentangle. No artistic ability is needed. Discover patterns in nature, put your self critic to rest, and experience your own Zen style experience. You will be creating self-expressive, self-discovery art, all while discovering your own unique style.
